Music Lessons
Jody offers lessons to violinists of all ages and skill levels, from beginning to advanced. Lessons taken with Jody will provide a unique approach to music education, drawing influence both from the classical Suzuki method, and from alternative skills and techniques learned from Berklee College of Music and beyond.
Jody's mission is to provide a well-rounded foundation for violinists seeking to hone their craft - regardless of genre. Both teacher and student will work together in order to create a specialized lesson plan, influenced largely by what type of music and techniques the student might be passionate about.
Play from the Heart, not from the Page
Jody understands the merits of traditional classical education, but also strongly believes in the fundamental importance of versatility. Every student, regardless of the style they might play, should learn the basics of improvisation - a direct line from the the instrument to the heart, without the interruption of notes on a page.
